A $2,000 reward is offered for the driver who fled the scene of an accident that killed an 8-month pregnant woman's baby, police say.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – A $2,000 reward is being offered for the driver who fled the scene of an accident that led to the death of an unborn baby a woman in her eighth month of pregnancy was carrying, police say.

Nicolas Alonzo-Ramos is accused of causing an accident Thursday and fleeing the scene, according to police. At about 3:08 p.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office responded to Canton Road just west of Sawnee Drive for a two-vehicle collision. The driver and two passengers, who police determined were at fault, fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a 26-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant. She was taken to a local hospital with visible injuries.

On Friday, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the hospital saying the pregnant woman had miscarried her child because of injuries she suffered in the crash.
