Students at Carrington Academy Hold Earth Day Ladybug Release

Students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing beneficial bugs into their schoolyard to help local vegetation

On April 22, students at Carrington Academy on Majors Road in Cumming explored a bug’s life in celebration of Earth Day as they released 12 butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees.

Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Carrington Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
