Volunteers Fix Donated Bikes to Gift this Holiday
Reality Bikes of Cumming was one of many businesses that spruced up more than 500 bikes to be donated to charity for gift giving this holiday season.
About 150 volunteers gathered on Saturday, Dec. 3 to polish and shine nearly 550 bikes donated for Santa Shop.
The bikes will be given as holiday gifts to people through the charity this month. This year was the fifth year for the annual bike drive, which collects bikes from neighborhoods in the tri-county area (Forsyth, Fulton and Gwinnett).
On Saturday the volunteers included about 30 mechanics who were able to transform many of the bikes like new for the kids. Sponsors included , Alpha Bikes, , Performance Bikes and . Johns Creek Baptist Church and Price Waterhouse Coopers donated more than 200 new bikes for the program as well.
