WATCH: Boulder Dash 5K Attracts Runners of all Ages
The popular community event attracted more than 1,500 runners and walkers this year.
Runners and walkers of all ages showed up on a beautiful spring Saturday morning on the grounds of Northside Hospital-Forsyth for this year's Boulder Dash 5K.
The popular community event attracted about 1,550 participants, according to Jason Mock of the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
"I thought Saturday went very well and our turnout was very good," he said. "It was a beautiful day and we had a good number of individuals that showed up."

The Boulder Dash, now in its fourth year, took runners and walkers on a 3.1-mile course through a rock quarry now owned by Bluegrass Materials Company based in Jacksonville, Florida.

Afterwards, participants were given a t-shirt for completing the race and enjoyed complimentary bottled water and snacks.
Congratulations to all the participants for completing the race, including the overall male and female winners:
- David Rindt, 41, finished in 17:52
- Caroline Patterson, 11, finished in 21:58Â
