16-Year-Old Charged in Vicious Attack on Taxi Driver
The alleged incident happened early Monday morning, according to Gwinnett Police.

Gwinnetty County Police have charged a 16-year-old as an adult in connection with the stabbing and robbing of a taxi driver earlier this week.
Police found the victim laying on the side of the road, covered in the blood from multiple stab wounds, around 2:15 a.m. Monday on Boggs Road. The victim is recovering from his injuries at Grady Hospital, police said.
“While at the scene, the victim reported that he was attacked, stabbed several times and robbed,” police spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said in a news release. “He also reported that his taxi cab had been taken.”

The victim, a driver for International Taxi, told police he went to the Autumn Vista Apartments to pick up a fare and was viciously attacked. The cab was found wrecked around two hours later at the intersection of Old Norcross and Ingram roads, 5½ miles from the incident location.
Police identified Luis Rojas, 16, as a suspect. He was found at a house in the Norcross area, police said.

Rojas has been charged with robbery and aggravated assault. He is being house at the Rockdale Youth Detention Center in Rockdale County.
