$60K Stolen From Parked Car In Gwinnett, Suspect Sought

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Authorities are looking for a man they believe stole more than $60,000 from a parked car in Peachtree Corners earlier this month.

Geovorris Rowland is wanted by Gwinnett County police in connection with an incident Feb. 4 at The Forum on Jones Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners. A man in a white Ford F-150 was seen pulling up next to the victim’s car, smashing its window, stealing the money and then fleeing.

Rowland was identified because a nearby witness thought to record the incident on his smartphone, providing the police with clear video of what happened.

Gwinnett investigators have since obtained a warrant for Rowland for entering an auto with intent to commit theft. They’re still looking for Rowland, as well as for a second unidentified person seen in the truck.
