Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:
- The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a live Active Shooters exercise on Saturday, Dec. 3. The exercise includes participants from multiple agencies and will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The exercise will be conducted at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Travelers in the area may experience temporary traffic delays. Please plan accordingly. (Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office)
- NexGen Biobanking is expanding into Gwinnett County. The expansion will bring vital biospecimen storage infrastructure to the state's life science industry. NexGen's presence in the county hopes to advance precision medicine while empowering local research. The Norcross facility will store and manage over three million biospecimens. - Gwinnett County's 2023 SPLOST program revenue will include $736.3 million for various infrastructure projects. There is an extra $133.9 million in the agreement for public safety projects and another $108 million for recreational projects. Gwinnett County residents voted to renew the SPLOST agreement during the midterm elections. (Gwinnett County)
