  1. On Saturday, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office ran an Active Shooter Training Drill. The event included numerous law agencies as well as volunteers from different organizations and within the community itself. Held at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, the exercise focused on how law enforcement would handle an active shooter situation in the courthouse. The Sheriff's Office has released photos of the exercise and will be sharing a highlight video as well. (Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office)
  2. CSEdWeek has arrived in Gwinnett County! The week is an annual event to encourage K-12 students to explore computer science education skills. The program also advocates for equity and celebrates the work of teachers and students in these fields. Gwinnett County's goal is to become a "CS For All District." (Gwinnett County Public Schools)
  3. The Hamilton Mill Branch Library will be holding its popular Baby Storytime on Dec. 8. Infants will spend time with their parents or caregiver developing pre-literacy skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Children will learn about books through a variety of techniques including rhymes, songs, and sensory play. Additionally, families will learn baby sign language so they can interact with their babies and teach them literacy at the same time. (Gwinnett Public Library)
