Celebrate Earth Day In Gwinnett By Recycling Saturday

Residents are invited to bring paint and tires to the annual Earth Day recycling event April 13.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Need to get rid of some clutter in your home? Gather your recyclable items and celebrate Earth Day with Gwinnett.

Residents are invited to bring paint and tires to the annual Earth Day recycling event April 13 sponsored by Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, located at 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville.

The event also offers paper shredding and electronics recycling. Paper shredding is limited to five copier boxes per vehicle; paint is limited to 10 gallons; and tire recycling is limited to eight tires (dealer tires are not accepted). Electronics recycling is free except for TVs, monitors and printers. There is a $15 fee per TV or computer monitor and a $5 fee per printer, cash only.
