- The family of a Gwinnett County woman convicted of killing a woman in 2021, wants a new trial. Damia Mitchell was sentenced to 140 years in federal prison for fatally shooting Grayson's Faith Burns. Four other teenage girls received ten years in prison after accepting plea deals for aggravated assault. Mitchell's family thinks 140 years is excessive. (Fox 5 Atlanta)

- A Gwinnett County resident caught a black bear on a surveillance camera making its way across their yard. According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, bears are seeking food and shelter which may increase the number of bear sightings in metro Atlanta neighborhoods. Residents are encouraged to take down bird feeders for the next few weeks in an effort to discourage bears from wandering into yards. (WSBTV)
