  1. With record-cold temperatures anticipated for this weekend, Gwinnett County is planning to open five warming centers for residents to use overnight. The warming stations include ones in nearby Snellville and Lawrenceville. They will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. on Dec. 23. (The Georgia Sun)
  2. Gwinnett County warned residents that someone is impersonating a Gwinnett County Water Resources employee in order to steal precious metals from residential homes. The county said that the person appears to be targeting Spanish-speaking families in the nearby Norcross area.   3. App State football signed 19 recruits during the first day of December's early signing period. One recruit is Jayden Bethea, a linebacker who played at Dacula High School. The all-region player's senior highlight reel includes 93 tackles with eight tackles for loss, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. (App State Athletics)

  • Georgia officials continue to issue warnings about the upcoming historic cold weather that will be hitting the state this holiday weekend.
