Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

  1. Georgia's gas tax suspension expired on Tuesday. Starting today, Georgians will see the gas tax return when they purchase gas. During the tax suspension, Georgians saw an average savings of about 30 cents per gallon of gas. 2. Would you like to learn how to attract birds to your backyard and community? Check out the Creating a Sanctuary for Birds with Native Plants Workshop today, Jan. 11, at 11:00 a.m. The workshop will be at the Gwinnett County Library Five Forks Branch in nearby Lawrenceville and will also feature nature photos on display by local photographer Emil Powell. 3. The University of Georgia will be celebrating its back-to-back championship win with a ceremony on Saturday at the Sanford Stadium down the road in Athens.
