A Cherokee County woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the Cherokee High School Drama Booster Club. The Canton Police Department was notified about the missing funds by the Cherokee County School District, which said it acted upon information provided by a teacher involved with the booster club.

A fatal collision involving a school bus transporting special needs students and two teenagers in a passenger vehicle remains under investigation in Roswell. The accident was reported along Highway 92/Woodstock Road at West Road when a passenger vehicle crashed into the bus Monday afternoon, Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland previously told Patch.

Restaurant Inspections: Worker Made Sandwiches Without Gloves, No Hair Restraints

The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections April 19-26 at a number of locations, including two restaurants and two schools. Inspections at one location uncovered food prepared by bare hands and without the use of hair nets. The location was also ordered to clean the gaskets of the coolers and freezers.

WellStar Paulding Hospital Earns 'A' Safety Rating

WellStar Paulding Hospital has been ranked among the safest hospitals in the state by Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades. The local hospital was one of just 13 hospitals in the state to receive an "A" ranking. The patient safety group released its new grades this month and noted a general downward trend for Georgia. Less than 20 percent of hospitals in the state earned an "A" this spring.

Trump To Raise Funds For Karen Handel Friday

President Donald Trump will appear at a Friday fundraiser for 6th District Republican candidate Karen Handel. The event will follow the president's keynote address at a National Rifle Association's national convention at the Georgia World Congress Center. If you plan to attend the fundraiser, the cheapest ticket reportedly starts at $2,700; a host sponsorship will run you $25,000.
