  1. The last day to cast an early ballot in Gwinnett County is on Friday, Nov. 4. As of Monday afternoon, 111,300 county voters had cast early ballots. Gwinnett County voters requested 22,888 absentee ballots, with 11,689 already returned. Almost a quarter of all registered voters in the county have cast an early ballot. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
  2. A local hunter shot a giant 16-point buck in Gwinnett County. Terry Hollis, 69 years old, says he had been watching the giant buck for the last four years in anticipation of the right moment and even bought a new crossbow for the hunt. Hollis reportedly brought the giant buck down on a 250-yard shot. (GON)
  3. Federal authorities report that a large meth lab in Gwinnett County has been busted. The Drug Enforcement Administration busted the meth lab after a Banks County traffic stop yielded over 100 pounds of colorful methamphetamine. The authorities recovered over 2,000 pounds of meth being processed during the bust in a residential neighborhood. (WSBTV)
