Gwinnett's police will step up patrols in and near Asian-owned businesses in response to shootings at Atlanta-area massage parlors.

The Gwinnett County Police Department announced Wednesday that it will increase patrols in and around Asian-owned businesses — particularly spas — in response to the deadly shootings at Atlanta-area massage parlors.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department announced Wednesday that it will increase patrols in and around Asian-owned businesses — particularly spas — in response to the deadly shootings at massage parlors in Atlanta and near Acworth.

“Although there are no known threats at this time, these patrols will continue for the foreseeable future for the safety and comfort of the community,” said Gwinnett police spokesperson Cpl. Collin Flynn.

If anyone sees something that may appear suspicious or potentially criminal in nature, they are encouraged to call the police immediately.
