Gwinnett Gym Thefts Likely Linked: Police
Gwinnett Police need the public's help in identifying local gym thieves.

DACULA, LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in identifying local gym thieves. On Jan. 14 a man obtained someone’s keys while wandering around Gold’s Gym located at 1250 Auburn Road in unincorporated Dacula. The thief enters the person’s vehicle and ultimately steals at least two credit cards. The stolen cards were later used by another person at a Target in Atlanta to attempt to purchase an Apple product for over $1,000.
On Jan. 17 a man steals the someone’s wallet from his locker at Gold’s Gym located at 860 Duluth Highway in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The man later uses the stolen credit cards from the wallet to purchase over $1,000 at the Target across the street and at another Target in Peachtree Corners. Both purchases were for Apple products.
Detectives believe these incidents and thieves are connected due to the similarity in the thefts and fraudulent purchases.
