- U.S. Representative Jody Hice nominated a Dacula resident currently attending the University of Georgia for attendance to three military service academies. Benjamin Cook is one of 22 students in the congressional district to receive academy nominations. The academies include the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, and the U.S. Air Force Academy. - Crimes focused on senior citizens have been steadily on the rise. Local organizations, including a Gwinnett County senior center, are attempting to help potential victims learn how to avoid being scammed, especially during the holiday season. (11Alive)
- Gwinnett County may be approving a one-time cost of living payment for employees in order to improve retention. The payment would be $1500 for eligible full-time employees and $750 for regular part-time employees. Officials say the payments could be sent out as soon as Dec. 16. (Fox5)
