Man Dead, Woman Jailed After Domestic-Related Stabbing: Police

UPDATE: The stabbing victim has been identified as Ricky Bryant, 34, of Lawrenceville. Nathalie Stewart, 43, also of Lawrenceville, was arrested by Gwinnett police and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a knife during commission of a felony, and felony murder.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A man was stabbed to death over the weekend in unincorporated Lawrenceville and a woman is in custody after what authorities say was a domestic-related homicide.

When Gwinnett County Police officers arrived at a home on Planters Cove Circle just before midnight Saturday, they found a man in his mid 30s suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds, according to spokesperson Sgt. Michele Pihera. The man later died of his injuries.

A woman at the scene was taken into custody. It’s still unclear what led to the stabbing, Pihera said.

Three children — two teenagers and an infant — were inside the home at the time of the incident. The infant is currently in the custody of family members.

The victim’s name is being withheld until relative can be notified.
