GWINNETT COUNTY, GA -- Two Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies, Lt. Ivy Bailey and her husband, Cpl. Ernie Bailey, were recently dining at a restaurant when Lt. Bailey noticed an elderly woman who appeared to be choking.

She and Cpl. Bailey rushed to the woman's table, where Cpl. Bailey performed the Heimlich Maneuver and expertly dislodged the obstruction, allowing the woman to breathe again.
Coincidentally, Cpl. Bailey had recently completed his annual training, which included a refresher on the Heimlich Maneuver.

"We're glad this dymanic duo were in the right place at the right time to help a choking victim and her frightened sister," reads a post on the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. "The Baileys don't think it's a big deal, but we do! We're proud of them and appreciate their service both on duty and off!"
