Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

  1. Crews responded to a natural gas leak near the intersection of Dawson Boulevard and Graves Road in Gwinnett County. The Gwinnett County Fire and Rescue also responded to the location on Wednesday afternoon. Motorists were diverted to alternate routes while the road was shut down for repair work. (CBS46.com)
  2. Are you growing increasingly frustrated with online home listings and are seeking an alternative? Patch and Redfin have teamed up to create a list of upcoming in-person open houses occurring in the Dacula area. The next open house is scheduled for Sunday, Jul. 10 at 1 p.m. at 2915 Cammie Wages Rd. (Dacula Patch)
  3. A Gwinnett County Police Department K-9 officer has had an injured leg amputated. K-9 officer Kai was shot by Levi Bryan during an incident in May. The leg had to be amputated since it didn't heal properly. Kai is expected to recover, thankfully. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
