Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Vehicle Wednesday Night

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Lawrenceville man was killed Wednesday night when a vehicle hit him as he walked across Buford Drive.

Benjamin Phenix, 35, was trying to cross Buford Drive at its intersection with Braves Drive at about 10 p.m. when he was hit, according to a spokesperson for the Gwinnett County Police Department. He died at the scene from his injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
