Remember When We Just Circled What We Wanted in a Catalog?

Remember how much fun it was making out a holiday wish list when you were a child? I can still remember going through the Sears, J.C. Penney and Service Merchandise holiday catalogs and circling the toys I really, really wanted.

My children have never done that. My son, when he was very small, may have circled things in a newspaper insert, but Christmas toy catalogs are and have long been a thing of the past. I don't think my daughter has ever compiled a non-electronic Christmas wish list. From a very early age, my children have used email and Amazon to let us know what they wanted. Neither of them (thankfully) ever tried to actually write out a URL as shown in this post from one of my favorite Facebook pages, George Takei.
