- Gwinnett County Public Schools' Teacher of the Year has been announced. Paul Duke STEM High School teacher Ashley Wright has been named the top teacher in the district. The announcement was made at the J. Albin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center in Suwanee on Thursday. Wright has been a teacher for 12 years and has been with Paul Duke since 2018. - Gwinnett County will be lighting the Great Tree on Thursday, Nov. 24. The popular holiday event will be held on the lawn of the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse at 5:30 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the courthouse. There will be smores, children's activities, and more. This is a free event. (Gwinnett County)
- Gwinnett County's children will have the opportunity to write letters to Santa on Saturday, Dec. 3. The letter-writing event will be held at Rhodes Jordan Park Community Recreation Center Community Room at 10:00 a.m. This event is designed for all ages. There is a $6 fee for county residents and a $16 fee for non-county residents. (Gwinnett County)
