- A trade delegation led by Farooq Mughal, a Dacula local and the first Pakistani to be elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, visited a local manufacturing facility for auto parts. The delegation is part of Mughal's efforts to develop business relationships between the United States and Pakistan. (Business Recorder)
- A 26-year-old Dacula graduate who is pursuing a career as a professional soccer player in Scotland made a trip home for the holidays. - A 22-year-old Dacula man was arrested in connection with the murder of a Gwinnett County Jail officer. The officer was shot and killed outside of his work. A memorial has been setup in his honor. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
