Unattended Grill Sparks Blaze At Gwinnett Townhome Complex
Several units of a Gwinnett townhome complex sustained fire and smoke damage Saturday after an unattended grill set the building ablaze.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA β An unattended charcoal grill is believed to have sparked a fire Saturday that caused heavy damage to several units of a Duluth townhome complex.
Gwinnett firefighters answering a 911 call arrived at Oak Glenn Drive to find heavy smoke and fire pouring out of the left side of a four-unit townhome. Two units sustained heavy fire damage, and smoke damage was noted in the other two units, according to a statement from Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.
A Gwinnett investigator later determined that the fire had started from a charcoal grill on a porch. The residents said that they were grilling earlier in the day, thought the fire was extinguished and were not home when the fire started.
