Vehicular Homicide Charge In Connection With Fatal Norcross Crash

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Stone Mountain man remains in the Gwinnett County Jail Monday after being charged with vehicular homicide in connection with a high-speed collision in Norcross.

Brianna Leake of Lilburn was pronounced dead at the scene on Aug. 19 after a Honda driven by Geo Abraham struck her Nissan as she was turning left from Indian Trail Road onto Willow Trail Parkway.

Abraham, who was only slightly injured, was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving and speeding. He was later arrested on those charges, according to a spokesperson for the Gwinnett County Police Department.

A police statement described Abraham — who was driving straight down Indian Trail Road at the time of the accident — as traveling “at a high rate of speed and operating his car in a reckless manner prior to the crash.” Abraham remains in the Gwinnett County Jail as of Monday.
