Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:
- Dacula's Deborah Malisa Grant, 25 years old, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. The charges come after she allegedly shot her boyfriend in a Food Lion parking lot on Sunday night. The boyfriend was shot in the back during the incident. (Gaston Gazette)
- Billboards featuring the popular TV character Ted Lasso have been spotted in metro Atlanta. The billboards feature inspiring messages for the U.S. 2022 World Cup team. Gwinnett County's Sean Johnson and Walker Zimmerman made the team's roster. Johnson's billboard is off U.S. 78 in Snellville and Zimmerman's billboard is in Nashville. (WSBTV)
- A Voting Rights group reports 48 provisional ballots were rejected in Gwinnett County during the 2022 midterm elections. The rejections were caused by reported paperwork issues. The group, All Voting Is Local, blames Senate Bill 202 for the rejected ballot issues. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
