1 Arrested, Another Still Wanted In Paulding Triple Shooting; Victims' Names Released

One suspect is in custody and a second suspect is still wanted in connection with a triple shooting in Paulding County last week.

PAULDING COUNTY, GA β€” One of at least two suspects wanted in connection with a triple shooting in Paulding County last week has been arrested, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

The triple shooting took place just before 11 p.m. last Monday at a home on Chesapeake Way in the Sunset Mountain subdivision. Two people came to the home and met with the three victims, shot them and fled the scene.

Two of the victims died on the scene, and the third was taken to the hospital in critical condition β€” but over the weekend, the third victim died from his injuries.

The victims were identified Monday as Clinton Matthew Aiola, 42, of Rockmart; Cody Daniel Fuller, 30, of Dallas; and Davauntee Anthony Ramsay, 30, of Rockmart.

Initially, deputies did not know why the victims were shot. But after investigation, detectives said the two men came to the home to rob the men.

Deputies arrested a suspect β€” Carlos Favors-Battle, 26, of Douglasville β€” on Thursday. He faces multiple charges, including:

  • Three counts of malice murder
  • Three counts of murder during the commission of a felony
  • Three counts of aggravated assault with intent to rob or muder
  • Probation violation warrant
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

A PCSO spokesperson said there will likely be additional charges for Favors-Battle in this case.
