  1. A pilot had to land at the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport after experiencing landing gear issues in the air this weekend. The pilot was able to land safely without injuring themself or their two passengers aboard. The incident is being investigated. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. Over 500 Paulding County School District students have received laptops for school work. The schools' Chief Information Officer Julie Ragsdale said, “We are responding to the needs of our students, families, and teachers by providing the resources needed to Engage, Inspire, and Prepare all of our students for success." More laptops will be distributed over the next few months because of the new "1:1" program. (WSB-TV)
  3. Arrest reports released by the Polk County Jail between Oct. 14 and Oct. 20 include three residents from the Dallas-Hiram area. Hiram resident Tikira Kanish Reyes, 40, was arrested for theft by deception. Marshawn Marquez Martin, 22, of Dallas, was arrested for failure to appear. Another Dallas resident, Corey Lovingood, 42, was arrested on Oct. 18 for driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, and obstruction. (Northwest Georgia News)
