VILLA RICA, GA -- Villa Rica police are asking for help to identify where a bullet came from, Sunday, which almost hit a mother and child on Lilac Lane, located in the rear portion of Reid Plantation subdivision. Shots were fired and a bullet penetrated the back of the home, police reported. Officers discovered a bullet had gone thru the back wall of the home into the living room where it had come within feet of a mother and her child. An investigation revealed the round came from the power line area located off of McCurdy Road. Police are asking the public for their help and anyone with information pertaining to recreational shooting in that area, should contact Detective Bertera at cbertera@villarica.org or call 678-840-1320.
