City of Hiram Hires 2 New Police Officers

The City of Hiram welcomed two new officers to the police force this week.

Jessie Gantt and Jared McLaughlin are new to the department, the city said on Facebook.

Gantt, a native of Greenwood, S.C., who moved to Douglasville three years ago, is a U.S. Army veteran. He said he became an officer “to try to make a positive change in my community.”

McLaughlin, the son of Gina Robinson and Thomas McLaughlin, is a resident of Dallas who joined the force “to help serve and protect the community I grew up in.”
