Got A New Kindergartener In Paulding County? Registration Appointments Are Open Now

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — Parents of new kindergarteners in the Paulding County School District can now start the process of getting their child registered for the 2022-23 school year.

Parents must register any child who will turn five years old on or before Sept. 1. There are three steps to complete the registration process, which is by appointment only:

1. Schedule an appointment.
2. Complete the online application.
3. Provide the required documents.

The earliest available time starts Feb. 28. Once an appointment is scheduled, an online application must be completed. The link for the online application will be included at the bottom of the appointment confirmation email in red print, according to info from PCSD.

Required documents should be uploaded in the online application, and PDF format is preferred. Here's a list of the required documents:

• State-issued picture ID of parent/guardian
• Child's birth certificate or acceptable proof of birth
• Child's social security card (voluntary but recommended)
• Form 3231 - Certificate of immunization
• Form 3300 - Certificate of eye, ear, dental and nutrition screening
• Proof of residence in Paulding County (can be any two of the items listed below):
  • Monthly utility bills (power, water, cable, gas, garbage, satellite) or mortgage statement issued within the last 30 days which includes the service address.
  • Lease or rental agreement signed by both parties showing term dates, property address and contact information for landlord.
  • Home title (warranty deed, quit-claim deed or security deed) in name of parent/guardian showing property address or legal description.

If the family is living in a household with someone else, a statement of legal residence form is required and must be notarized. The original notarized form must be received at 522 Hardee St., Dallas to process registration. This form must be completed by the enrolling parent/guardian and the homeowner/lessor.
