Man, Vehicles Shot In Paulding County Monday: Police

One man and several vehicles were shot in Paulding County Monday afternoon, according to the Sheriff's Office.

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — One man and several vehicles were shot in Paulding County Monday afternoon, according to the Sheriff's Office. A leg wound to the man shot was not life-threatening and he was taken to the hospital, police said. It is not clear how many people were involved in the incident.

At approximately 2:53 p.m., Paulding E-911 received a call about a fight in progress at 8478 Dallas Acworth Highway Dallas. While deputies were enroute to the scene, the call was upgraded to a shooting in progress involving multiple people. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found several people and noticed that several vehicles had been shot. Deputies quickly took all parties into custody without discharging their weapons which helped secure the scene.

The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators remained on scene for the better portion of the evening as they continued the investigation into the incident. The rest of the involved parties were transported to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office to be interviewed.

Police said that a traffic accident that occurred in the area north of the scene which was not directly related to the incident at 8478 Dallas Acworth Highway.
