  1. A routine traffic stop in Dallas has left one man dead. According to officials, on Nov. 20, officers were conducting traffic stops by Macland Road and Bobo Road. Billy Denton, 36, reportedly pulled out a gun at the traffic stop and began firing at deputies. Deputies returned fire, and – after a brief chase – Denton crashed his car and was shot again. Denton died at the hospital from his injuries; no other injuries were reported. (Paulding County Sheriff’s Office via Facebook)
  2. There are a ton of events coming to the New Georgia Public Library this December. On Dec. 6, bring your children to CAREing Paws so they can strengthen their reading skills by reading to a furry friend! Mondays in December are Storytime, with themed holiday stories kids will love.   3. On Nov. 25, the Holiday Lights of Hope will open in nearby Woodstock, and it's well worth the trip. The light display features over two million individual lights.
