Drunk Paulding Man Stole School Bus, Took It On A 'Joy Ride' Before Arrest: Sheriff
Authorities say a man broke into Moses Middle School, stole a school bus, drove it drunk and crashed into a fence. He faces nine charges.
PAULDING COUNTY, GA β A Paulding County man's "joy ride" with a stolen school bus landed him in jail, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.
Cody Dalton Green, 21, faces nine charges after sheriff's deputies say he broke into the gate of Moses Middle School, stole a school bus and took it on a "joy ride" while reportedly drunk, the sheriff's office said.
Green crashed the bus into a fence of a homeowner on Birch River Point in Dallas, where law enforcement personnel arrested him. He was reportedly restrained by neighbors until deputies could arrive.

The 21-year-old faces the following charges:
- Theft by taking
- Criminal interference with government property
- Possession of heroin
- DUI while driving a commercial vehicle
- Driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL
- Failure to maintain lane
- Hit and run (two counts)
- Driving without a license
- Driving in violation of license restrictions
