Two Long-Time Paulding County Deputies Retire
A retirement reception was held in the jail to honor the service of two long-time Paulding deputies Thursday.

PAULDING COUNTY, GA β A retirement reception was held in the jail to honor the service of two long-time Paulding deputies Thursday. Lieutenant Kathy Etheridge and Corporal Linda Kinnin were honored as they were surrounded by their friends, family and coworkers. Together, Etheridge and Kinnin have over 42 years of service to the citizens of Paulding County. As of Friday, both will officially retire from service.
Etheridge began her career with the Paulding County Sheriffβs Office Nov. 13, 1997 in the Detention Center. Etheridge has worked her way through the ranks and spent her entire career in the jail. She is currently a shift supervisor where she helps oversee the day to day operations of the jail.
Throughout her career, Etheridge has been responsible for helping to train the majority of the deputies who have worked at the jail. Her coworkers said her positive impact will be lasting on the Paulding County Sheriffβs Office for years to come.

Kinnin began her career with the Paulding County Sheriffβs Office on Dec. 30, 1996 in the Detention Center. Throughout her career she worked in the Court Services Division, the Transport Division, and then came back to the Jail Division later in her career. She is currently a shift supervisor in the jail where she helps oversee her shift. Kinnin has also been a dedicated employee for many years.

Both Etheridge and Kinnin have been valuable assets to the Paulding County Sheriffβs Office over the past two decades. Sheriff Gary Gulledge said, βThese two ladies have done an amazing job while they have been assigned in Paulding County Sheriffβs Office their various roles. There are probably not many other Deputies who know the Jail any better than the two of them collectively. They will be missed by everyone here!β
Now Etheridge and Kinnin will have plenty of time to spend with their family and enjoy life βAfter the Badge.β
