Woman Dies In Paulding County Mobile Home Fire
A woman's body was found in the debris of a mobile home that went up in flames Friday night in northeastern Paulding County.

HIRAM, GA — A mobile-home fire in Paulding County Friday night claimed the life of a woman whose body was found under debris after the blaze was extinguished.
Paulding’s 911 center first received calls about the fire — near the intersection of Hiram-Acworth Highway and Due West Road — at 8:26 p.m. Friday, according to a statement from Paulding County Fire & Rescue. Another caller who identified as a family member told dispatchers that an elderly female who might be inside wouldn’t be able to get out on her own.
A Paulding County Sheriff’s deputy was first to arrive on the scene. The deputy tried to enter the home “but was pushed back by the intense heat and flames,” according to the statement.
