  1. U.S. President Joe Biden is set to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Hanwha Q CELLS' new solar module plant in Dalton as part of his efforts to strengthen the country's solar energy supply chain. The announcement was made during Biden's visit to the Flex LTD Plant in West Columbia, South Carolina, where he highlighted his economic policies. The Hanwha Q CELLS plant, which is receiving support from the Biden Administration's Inflation Reduction Act and the State of Georgia, represents a significant investment of approximately $2.5 billion and aims to establish a solar hub in the region by next year. Thirteen local teens actively engaged in the United Way's GoLEAD program, a three-day service learning, and leadership initiative focused on empowering young individuals to make a tangible difference in their community. Through the program, the students received comprehensive leadership training, developed communication skills, and participated in team-building activities facilitated by the University of Georgia's J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.
