- Dalton attorney Mitchell B. Snyder was recognized by the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia for his exceptional service to the public, receiving the Award of Achievement for Service to the Public during the division's annual meeting on Jun. 9. The award acknowledges young lawyers who actively contribute to their local communities. Snyder, a member of The Minor Firm, was honored for his outstanding commitment to public service. - The Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library is hosting a Learn @ the Library event today called Cricut Custom Mug program at 4:30 p.m., where participants can create their own personalized coffee mugs. All the necessary supplies will be provided, and the event is open to individuals aged 19 and above. You can join the event for a fun and creative experience. - Whitfield County Emergency Management is giving Whitfield County residents another opportunity to receive a weather radio on Friday, Jul. 21, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Riverbend Park.
