Three of my kids have attended where she teaches. She’s also a good friend, and I’m her pastor.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Laura sees the heart of her students. Her students come with a variety of learning needs that can often go overlooked or neglected. Laura makes her students feel both seen, showing them their value, while also helping equip them to achieve their goals, putting them on a path of success to become lifelong learners.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Laura, like many teachers, does what she does because she loves her students and cares deeply about educating every student in our community. It’s not her job. It’s her calling.
