  1. Two women reported being assaulted by a convicted sex offender at the Dalton Hotel Tuesday morning. The women were reportedly approached and followed by Clayton County resident, Aaron Terrell Tyler, who was arrested by the Whitfield County Sheriffs' Office. Tyler was in Dalton to participate in a drug rehabilitation program. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. CleanSpark, a crypto mining company, has announced its intention to buy two Bitcoin mining campuses in Dalton. Immediately upon announcing the definitive agreement to purchase, CleanSpark stock rose in value by five percent. The company has made a $9.3 million dollar cash deal. (www.cryptopolitan.com)
  3. Police in Dalton are seeking information about and the return of heavy equipment that was stolen from Civitan Park in Dalton on Jun. 14 at about 1:30 a.m. The Caterpillar skid steer, model 201, 259D had an auger attached to the front; it was being used by the Copponex Group installing playground equipment.
