2 Charged With Murder In Fatal DeKalb Shootings
Authorities say they have arrested two people in connection with unrelated deadly shootings in DeKalb County.
DECATUR, GA — Two people are facing murder charges in connection with unrelated shootings that killed two men this year, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Authorities said they arrested Keenan Maxwell Williams, 35, of Lithonia, Tuesday in connection with the July 6 shooting death of Cole Pitter, 36, of Marietta.
Williams faces a charge of felony murder, authorities said. He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

Then, on Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Emdria Swinton, 23, of Jacksonboro, South Carolina, in connection with the March 12 shooting death of Elmar Lawrence, 40, of Jackson, in Decatur, authorities said.
Swinton was arrested on a malice murder charge and is being held without bond at the DeKalb County Jail, authorities said.

Police did not detail what led to the shootings or identify motives.
