In a statement released hours after the incident, Pinewood co-owners Mike Blydenstein, Brooks Cloud and Julian Goglia said while no one was injured in the attack, they remain unnerved by the incident and thankful to the first responders.
Last night, after service, several employees of The Pinewood were attacked by two men wearing masks. Luckily, no one was physically hurt. The team was tied up with zip ties and threatened with weapons. It deeply saddens us that two individuals would attack our community with such a senseless, harmful act. We are very grateful to the first responders of Decatur for handling the threat immediately. Thank you to everyone for their outpouring of love at this time.
Decatur police continue to search for the perpetrators.
