4 Indicted On Human Trafficking Charges In DeKalb: Courts

A DeKalb County Grand Jury indicted the four people last week. If convicted, each person could face 25-50 years or life in prison.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Four people have been indicted on human trafficking charges by a DeKalb County Grand Jury, according to Attorney General Chris Carr.

Carr announced his office's Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit returned the indictment for the four people last Tuesday, Aug. 24.

“We thank the DeKalb County Grand Jury for their careful consideration of the evidence in this case,” Carr said. “Our Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit looks forward to presenting our case in court. We hope to send a strong message that buyers and traffickers’ actions are equally as despicable, and we will aggressively prosecute both.”
