First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of its Epiphany program, a faith-based social entrepreneurship incubator supporting startups tackling today’s most pressing challenges. Epiphany is an evergreen initiative that equips entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to social issues with funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance. If you are an emerging founder with a vision to address societal challenges often overlooked by traditional markets, Epiphany offers the resources needed to help your venture grow. Examples of qualifying ventures include businesses that employ formerly incarcerated individuals or adults with developmental challenges, as well as enterprises offering services such as coding training for refugees or mechanical skills development in low-income communities. Since its launch, Epiphany has awarded nearly half a million dollars in grants and supported multiple successful ventures, including Refuge Coffee Co., PadSplit, and Purposeful Gourmet Foods. Modeled in part after the format of Shark Tank, the program provides early-stage entrepreneurs with capital, mentorship, and access to a network focused on impact areas such as hunger, homelessness, housing, refugee resettlement, racial equity, poverty, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Four teens were shot while waiting for the bus after an altercation at a party the weekend before Halloween, according to DeKalb County police. Officers responded around 11:15 p.m. Saturday to the 3300 block of Glenwood Road and found a large group of teens, several of whom were injured, police said. Two 15-year-old girls, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were all taken to area hospitals with wounds to their limbs, according to police. The teens had been at a house party nearby when they got into an altercation with another group, police said. The two groups separated, but while the victims were waiting for a MARTA bus, teens from the other group fired several rounds from a moving vehicle, according to police. No one was in custody as of Sunday afternoon, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or DeKalb County police at 770-724-7850.
