Agnes Scott Writers' Festival Will Feature Grad Jacqueline Goldinger

Poet Joy Harjo and novelist Benjamin Percy will also read and speak at the festival.

graduate and playwright Jacqueline Goldinger will be among three authors reading and speaking at the college’s 41st annual writers’ festival.

Poet Joy Harjo and novelist Benjamin Percy will appear Thursday. Goldinger will read Friday afternoon and be honored at a reception afterwards.

Goldfinger graduated from Agnes Scott in 2000 and holds a M.F.A. in screen and television writing from the University of Southern California.

Her plays include “Slip/Shot,” “The Oath,”  “The Burning Season” and “the terrible girls.” She’s has also written several commissioned adaptations.

Harjo has published seven books of poetry and an award-winning children's book, The Good Luck Cat. Percy wrote the novel The Wilding and two books of short stories. His fiction and nonfiction has appeared in numerous national magazines.
