DORAVILLE, GA — Two people were injured after a small plane crashed in the backyard of a Homeland Drive house Sunday morning, Doraville Assistant Police Chief Brian Harris told reporters at a news conference.
The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. Harris said the plane went down in the residential area of Homeland, which stretches into Dunwoody, and officers rendered aid to the two occupants aboard the propeller-driven plane.
The two people, whose injuries were not life threatening, were able to walk away from the aircraft, Harris said. They were first treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital.
