A GA man was indicted after prosecutors say he used artificial intelligence to transforms ordinary images into child sex abuse material.

DECATUR, GA — A man has been indicted after being accused of turning ordinary photographs into child sex abuse material using artificial intelligence, DeKalb County prosecutors said Thursday.

The DeKalb County District Attorney's Office said Ronald Richardson, 47, of Gilmer County, on July 8 was indicted of 120 counts of sexual exploitation of children.

The Gilmer County Sheriff's Office arrested Richardson on Jan. 17, and the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office was the conflict prosecutor in the case, the office said.

The second indictment, filed on July 11, involves more than 100 victims in and out of Georgia, prosecutors said. Richardson has remained incarcerated since his arrest in January, prosecutors said.
