Recycle Christmas Trees In Decatur, Avondale Estates

In Decatur, trees can be recycled Dec. 28-Jan. 6 at a parking lot near Agnes Scott College. In Avondale Estates, residents can leave trees beside the curb for recycling.

The cities of Decatur and Avondale Estates will be recycling Christmas trees soon.

In Decatur, you can once again recycle your Christmas tree from Dec. 28 to Jan. 6 at the parking lot on South Candler Street near Agnes Scott College in Decatur.

Cub Scout Pack 134 will pick up your tree for recycling on Saturday, Jan. 5. The pack is sponsored by First Baptist Church of Decatur.

Donations are not required but will be accepted. To request a tree pickup by the Cubs, email Tom Atkinson at tomatk@bellsouth.net or call/text 404-441-2370.

In Avondale Estates, residents can recycle trees by leaving them beside the curb Dec. 26-Jan. 4.

On Jan. 5, trees should be brought to Lake Avondale to the old compost area near near Wiltshire Drive and Berkeley Road between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
