Decatur Lane Closures Scheduled For November
Briarcliff Road lane closure begins Nov. 3 as crews work to replace 160 linear feet of aging water pipe.

DEKALB COUNTY — Several water line replacement projects will go into effect in Decatur this week, with some requiring lane closures.
On Monday, an existing 6-inch with an 8-inch water line on Appalachee Drive will be replaced by the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) and its contractors, according to a news release. Work is expected to last approximately four weeks. Residents and businesses should not expect a water outage while the line is replaced, according to the county.
Also on Monday an existing 6-inch water line with an 8-inch water line on Cartecay Drive will be replaced. Work is expected to last four weeks.

On Nov. 3, a portion of the northbound lane along Briarcliff Road, crossing North Druid Hills Road between QuikTrip and Chick-fil-A, will be closed 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. Crews will work to replace 160 linear feet of ductile-iron water pipe.
Eastbound traffic on North Druid Hills Road will also be impacted by this closure on Briarcliff Road. This section of Briarcliff Road will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 13.
